We all want to be satisfied. Each of us longs to feel fulfilled in some way.
Whether you look for your fulfillment in social media or in your current relationship, you long to find satisfaction in someone or something.
Last week I wrote a blog post where I asked “Where is your satisfaction found?” If you haven’t read that post yet, I would encourage you to do that right now then return to this blog post and continue on.
When you understand where to find you satisfaction, you can live a better, fuller life.
If you place your fulfillment and satisfaction in the Lord, then nothing else really matters. Everything within you will be filled by the Lord and His goodness.
When you need to be reminded of how the Lord satisfies you, turn to His Word.
Here are seven great verses that will help you remember that God is your one and only satisfaction:
Psalm 91:16
“With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.”
Psalm 107:9
“For he satisfies the longing soul, and the hungry soul he fills with good things.”
Psalm 145:16
“You open your hand; you satisfy the desire of every living thing.”
Proverbs 19:23
“The fear of the Lord leads to life, and whoever has it rests satisfied; he will not be visited by harm.”
Isaiah 58:11
“And the Lord will guide you continually and satisfy your desire in scorched places and make your bones strong; and you shall be like a watered garden, like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.”
John 4:13-14
“Jesus said to her, ‘Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.’”
John 6:35
“Jesus said to them, ‘I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.”
Being satisfied in the Lord is one of the best things you could possibly do in your life.
It is a journey to get that place of complete satisfaction. But when you do, it is such a great feeling. When you place your total satisfaction in the Lord, then you can live out your life to the fullest and the way that God originally designed you to do.
In His amazing love,
Hannah Marie
