the meaning of Your Anointed Home

If you are a wife or mother, you are called to be the gatekeeper of your home. Whether you stay at home full time or not, your home should be your priority. It is time to cover our homes with the Lord’s spirit.

As the ones who dwell in our homes probably the mo As the ones who dwell in our homes probably the most our speech is so very vital to the way our homes feel.

If you are using your words to nag and tear down your husband, yell at your kids whenever they mess up, and go around complaining all day your home is not going to be a peaceful place to live and it’s all because of you.

It may be easy to shift the blame and say, “Well only if my husband helped more. If only my kids listened. If only I didn’t have so many messes to clean up, constant laundry to do, mouths to feed non-stop, etc.”

But no matter what others in your home are doing you are not responsible for them (besides caring for your kids of course.) You are the only one in control of your speech.

And if the Holy Spirit is in control of you then your speech needs to be a reflection of the Lord.

God created our tongues and speech to build up our families and pour truth, love, and wisdom into our homes.

So don’t let your frustrations take away from what your tongue is designed to do.

If there is a woman who is always screaming at her kids and husband, using harsh words, always complaining and cutting down, and speaking lies over her family and herself, her home is not going to be filled with the Spirit. She is driving God away with her words.

But if there is a woman who is speaking life over her children, blessings over her husband, wisdom into every circumstance, truth over her home, sweet words to her whole family, no complaining no matter how many messes she has to clean, and no whining at how many times the baby wakes up in the night her home is going to be a beautiful place to dwell.

Her husband and children are going to feel loved and cared for. Even if the house is a mess sometimes and dinner is burnt but her attitude and speech are so peaceful and loving it’s not really going to matter.

That is the woman we all need to strive to be like. We need to bridle our tongues and start speaking life over our homes.

You are raising children for the kingdom of God. You are raising children for the kingdom of God.

The Lord did not just bless you with your children to raise to a certain age just so they can leave and live their own lives. He blessed you with them to raise as disciples for His work.

Mothering in such a difficult job but it is so needed.🤍 And it’s time that we start getting it in order for the Lord.

It’s not time to grow lazy in our mothering.🥱 We don’t need to be putting off the responsibility that the Lord has given us. It’s time to stand strong for our kids.

Below are five ways that you can begin to get your mothering in order for the Lord and His kingdom. I pray that they encourage you and push you to be the mother God desires you to be.

✨ Realize that our strength in motherhood comes from the Lord.

We can not do motherhood alone. We need God and His Spirit guiding us each and everyday.

✨ As the mom, you set the guidelines.

You get to set the rules in your home along with your husband. As the parents you are able to set the guidelines on what your family gets to watch, have in your home, do as a family, and so much more.

✨ Live by example.

Do you know that your kids are going to follow what you do? So let them see you do what you are wanting them to do.

✨ Mothering and fathering are different.

In the Bible God separates the roles of mothers and fathers. We each have different ways of teaching and thinking. But our family needs both of us.

✨ Teach your kids to go to the Lord.

Let them hear you pray out loud and see you in His Word. But also read the Bible to them and show them how to ask for help and wisdom from the Lord.

🌟 There is so much more to do to prepare your family and home for God’s kingdom. If you want to really start on this journey of readying your home for the Lord go grab my guide “The Pruning.” It will walk you through so many ways to do so! The link is in my bio!🔗🌟

a little about me…

Hi! I’m Hannah. I am a wife and mama to two little boys. I love to bake new recipes, work on my skill of sourdough, and make coffee shop style coffees at home. I don’t have too much time in the day though. That’s taken up by two busy boys, but I’m really not complaining. Being a mama is the best!
