a little glimpse into our Purim!👑✨ it was an all a little glimpse into our Purim!👑✨

it was an all day celebration of crown making, coloring, decorating, making cookies, and learning about the story of Esther.

“that these days should be remembered and kept throughout every generation, in every clan, province, and city, and that these days of Purim should never fall into disuse among the Jews, nor should the commemoration of these days cease among their descendants.” (Esther‬ ‭9‬:‭28‬)

just a few February moments.☕️☁️🕯️ just a few February moments.☕️☁️🕯️
Thinking I needed “my time.” These past few weeks Thinking I needed “my time.”

These past few weeks have been a whirlwind and I feel like I have been falling behind.🌪️😵‍💫

For me that’s such a difficult feeling. I like to accomplish much each day. I thrive best with working non-stop and checking things off my to do list.

But with sick littles and a nursing baby my to dos just don’t get done. My boys come first. But it’s still hard for me to accept sometimes.

When you become a mother you go from having all the time to yourself to having no time to yourself. Before, you can get things done pretty easily. But when you have babies and little ones at your feet it takes ten times as long.

Is it bad? No, not at all. It’s just different.

What may have taken me an hour to do before having my kids can take me weeks now. Dinner prep starts at 3pm most days if we are going to eat on time. I have a YouTube video that has been sitting in drafts for weeks now because I haven’t had time to record the voice over (maybe I will get it posted this week.)

But what I have come to learn during this season of motherhood is that the interruptions and delays are not really interruptions and delays.✨ They are part of the work of what truly matters right now. It is the most important work.

This season is so short. And as moms we have just a few years to truly pour into our kids and teach them about their God.👈🏻👈🏻👈🏻 So why waste it on getting frustrated and overwhelmed about the dishes that will take five minutes to do later. It will get done all in the Lord’s time.🕊️

Is it just me or does anyone else hate having to c Is it just me or does anyone else hate having to constantly be asking yourself if what you are seeing is real or not..?

I get it. AI can be so helpful. But when you take a step back is it really?

Scrolling on Pinterest for decor and new recipes used to be fun and therapeutic for me! But now every other photo I look at seems to be touched up by AI.

It takes the joy out of it.

It takes the creativity out of it.

It takes the imagination out of it.

It takes the personhood out of it.

And it’s very quickly become normal.

Soon we won’t think a second thought about the photos and videos we scroll pass. Our brains will be trained to see the fake as real. It will be just reality to us.

No more thoughts. No more creativity. No more empathy. No more hard work.

For some reason the concept has been so heavy on my heart and mind the past few weeks. This is not my normal content but I just felt led to share these thoughts. You’ve probably already heard it before. But when the Lord tugs at my heart I must follow.

That being said…don’t count on seeing any AI or ChatGPT content from me.🙃

1 John 4:1👉🏻”Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world.”

James 1:3👉🏻”For you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness.”

Romans 12:2👉🏻“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”

a little about me…

Hi! I’m Hannah. I am a wife and mama to two little boys. I love to bake new recipes, work on my skill of sourdough, and make coffee shop style coffees at home. I don’t have too much time in the day though. That’s taken up by two busy boys, but I’m really not complaining. Being a mama is the best!
