Welcome here friend! I know time is precious so I want to keep this short but I also wanted to let you know a little bit about me.
In 2020, after eight months of dating, I married the funniest, most talented guy and my very best friend. Kevin and I live in middle Tennessee and are learning and growing together each day. We have two little boys who are our whole world.
We strive to follow the Lord’s commandments and ground ourselves in His Word. And we are wanting to teach our children that desire as they grow within our household. We observe the sabbath, celebrate His feast days, and try to live by His Word.
In my spare time I love to bake new recipes, work on my skill of sourdough, and make coffee shop style coffees at home. I don’t have too much time in the day though. That’s taken up by two busy boys, but I’m really not complaining. Being a mama is the best.
I love the Lord and lean on His strength each day. And I love learning more about His character and how He wants me to live. I wish I could read the Word way more, but again, this season of life comes first and God knows that. So I dig into His Word when I can.
Back in 2017 I originally started this website under the name His Fireflies. My goal was to encourage women to be lights for the Lord. And even though that is a great goal and still is one of my desires, my purpose shifted a bit as my life seasons shifted.
I felt God’s pulling and calling to encourage homemakers, wives, and mothers to be the gatekeepers of their homes. This generation needs women who are interceding in prayer on their families behalf, remaining strong in God’s Word, and discerning what is not from our Creator.
It was only a little while ago that I started this journey for myself. And even though I haven’t been married or a mother for that long I still believe I know the incredible importance that these roles hold.
So come along on this journey with me as we pray for our families, dig into the Word, and anoint our homes together.
