Toys seem to be a pain point for many moms and many homes. But it just typical to have this overabundance of toys for kids in this generation. We don’t question it. As a Christian mom I started seeing a lot of unhealthy attitudes develop in my kids. And the majority of those attitudes were stemming from the toys that we had accumulated. I know the root of the attitudes were of course from sin but it always went back to the toys. So I was done. I was ready to throw everything out and become a “no toy” family.…

I’m about to share the basics and all the details of how to actually keep your house clean at all times. It’s going to be simple and straightforward. We all want a clean home. Clutter isn’t appealing. Dirt isn’t welcoming. Depending on your home, personality, capacity, and season of life, having a clean house may be easier said than done. But this is what you need to do. To keep your house clean at all times you need a cleaning system for each day, week, month, and season. Let’s break this down. Each day you need to do a quick…

If you are in the toddler stage of motherhood, this topic may feel impossible. Self-control does not come naturally to kids. You know…They want what the want and they want it now. And if they don’t get it they may start with the tears. Some kids go straight to the screaming and tantrums. It’s all that their little minds understand. But praise the Lord that He has placed us here to teach them. Self-control is so important to teach your kids. The earlier the better. And I promise, no matter how you may feel currently, it is not impossible. Before…

Your alarm clock is the crying baby wanting to be fed. Before you can stumble out of bed to take care of the cries your toddler comes through your bedroom door wanting snuggles or begging for breakfast (it depends on the day.) No matter what you do you can’t seem to get ahead and have a pleasant morning time with your little children. You want peace. And you crave structure. But what do you do? This was me a few months ago. I would wake up to my children already under my feet, and the rest of the morning I…

Fasting is mentioned so many times in the Bible. And we are told of the importance of fasting and prayer over and over again. But how do we set apart that time to fast while we are in the busy seasons of motherhood. We are chasing littles from dawn until dusk. Often times we forget to eat but that doesn’t count as fasting. You slept for maybe two hours last night. The kids are up early. Your baby has already started crying this morning. There are little ones begging for breakfast at your feet. Something spills. A toddler breaks a dish. Someone is saying “no” over and over. Two of your precious little ones are hitting one another. Here comes the mom rage. And then you start to raise your voice as you are juggling all the things. Then somehow you start yelling, crying, slamming cabinets, and blaming your kids for everything that is going wrong. No mother wants their day to look…

At the end of last year we walked through a miscarriage. I was almost six weeks pregnant when we lost our child. It was extremely difficult but at the same time there was so much comfort in that season which I can only account to the Lord. Then quickly after we unexpectedly got pregnant again. This was such a blessing because I know so many couples struggle with infertility and loss after loss. But even though I was praising the Lord this pregnancy came with some fears. That is when my faith had to step in with carrying this baby…
