There will be times when we each will be in a low place. Whether that place comes from grief, shame, loss, or sadness, we each will experience that place of feeling so extremely low.
Highs and lows come with life. But our choice is how long we stay in the low places.
Life will throw curve balls at you. You will be hit with heartache and grief more times than you could count.
But always remember that there is a God that is with you through both the highs and the lows.
What you desire your life to be may not be what your life actually will be.
Galatians 5:16-17 says, “But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do.“
Your emotions are naturally controlled by your flesh. But once you are one of God’s children, your new Spirit takes over that control.
So when you hit your low place, look to God to bring you joy.
Joy, happiness, and praise are choices. You can choose either to sit in your pain and heartbreak or to look to God to bring you joy and happiness.
He is the same God in the highs and in the lows.
But living life without lows does not mean forgetting the loss or heartbreak that you went through. Take some time to grieve your loss or heal from your heartbreak.
But through that time remember that God is still good. And, in time, He will bring you joy.
Living life without lows will make your entire attitude and day-to-day change. You will see life differently and will be ready to take on your lows the next time they come your way.
In His amazing love,
Hannah Marie
