There is a lot going on in our world right now. And there is so much fear and confusion that stems from the unknowns.
But there is something that we do know, and that is that God is in control.
Even in these times of uncertainty, He is still in control. He is sitting on His throne and in looking out for His people.
But I realize that in times like these, God’s complete control can sometimes be forgotten. So I want to give you some verses that tell of God’s control and protection.
Romans 8:28
And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
Isaiah 41:10
Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Proverbs 19:21
Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand.
Joshua 1:9
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.
Matthew 6:34
Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
When you are feeling fearful or worried, speak God’s truth over yourself and soak in His presence. He is still in control.
Back in July I wrote out a prayer in my prayer journal that I think can still applied to us today. I don’t usually share prayers from my journal but I felt led to leave you with this. Hopefully, it gives you encouragement and it is something that you can pray over for yourself in these difficult times.
Dear Heavenly Father,
There is so much going on in the world today. And there is so much fear and confusion because of it. Everywhere we look we can see our culture pulling farther and farther away from You.
Please direct your people during this time. Let us follow Your ways and commandments. Allow us to be a light in the darkness. And help us to walk in Your Truth.
You are good and gracious to Your people. And You will protect those who stay in Your will.
Thank You for Your lovingkindness and mercy. Your love is never failing as we wait on You to take your Bride home to You.
