Reading God’s Word and applying it to our lives is our responsibility as Christian women. The Bible is filled with great truths and practical applications that we should apply to our lives.
Psalm 119:105 says, “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.“
Making God’s Word your light as you walk through this life will be so beneficial in the long-run.
But sometimes reading the Bible on a regular basis can become difficult. Picking up your Bible every day and knowing what to read can sometimes be challenging.
So here are three practical and easy ways that you can study your Bible:
1. From the beginning
One way that you can study your Bible is by starting at the beginning. Starting at Genesis and going through the rest of the Bible is a simple way to study God’s Word. Going from Genesis to Revelations will help you easily see God’s purpose laid out from beginning to end.
2. Both the Old and New Testament
Studying both the Old Testament and the New Testament is another practical way to study your Bible. You can read a few chapters of the Old Testament each day and dig deeper into a certain book in the New Testament. Doing this will allow you to study practical things in the New Testament to apply to your life while staying in touch with the Old Testament.
3. Using a reading plan
Another way to study your Bible is by using a reading plan. There are so many reading plans and Bible studies out there today that will help you dive deeper into God’s Word. There are studies that you can find online, on apps, or in book format. Find one that you are interested in and begin studying God’s Word.
Studying the Bible is so important for your walk with the Lord.
God’s Word holds true even after all of these years. And it is still applicable to our lives today.
Hebrews 4:12 says, “For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.“
As Christian women, we are called to rightly handle God’s Word (2 Tim. 2:15). And we can do this by studying it and applying it to our lives.
In His amazing love,
Hannah Marie
