What is purpose? And how can you find it in your everyday, hectic life?
As a believer, your purpose will look different than what the world will tell you it looks like.
Your purpose is so much more than the job you are pursuing or the degree that you earned. It is more than your role as a mother or sister. It is not just a label that the world likes to place upon us.
As believers, our purpose in this life is special.
Proverbs 19:21 tells us that “Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand.“
Although you may think that you know what your purpose is for the kingdom of God, the Lord may have a better plan for you.
So how do you find your purpose in your everyday life?
First of all, always remember the bigger picture. You are God’s chosen. He called you to do His kingdom work.
First Peter 2:9 says, “But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.“
You may be called to a certain profession or role in life where you may be doing great things for the Lord. But always remember the greater purpose God has for you—to show others of His amazing love.
Secondly, don’t let the enemy get in your way. Satan is trying to make it hard for you to find and fulfill your purpose for God’s kingdom. Don’t let his lies stop you from living out you purpose.
Memorize Scripture. Always be in prayer. Surround yourself with people who will lift you up and encourage you in your purpose.
Although we all may have different purposes in life, we are all striving toward one greater purpose.
God’s kingdom is made up of many members and, if you are a believer, you are one of them.
Finding your purpose in your everyday may be hard, but don’t be discouraged. God’s purposes will always prevail.
In His amazing love,
Hannah Marie
