I know I’m not the wisest person on this earth. And I don’t have as much experience as many others. But God has taught me some things in my twenty-one years of my life.
When this blog post is posted it will be my twenty-first birthday.
And I know that God has so much more to teach me. I never want to stop learning from Him.
I made this list of twenty-one things I have learned over my twenty-one years the other day and thought it would be fun to share this list with you. There is no certain order that this list is in. And it is not very detailed. But this is just a short list of some basic things that I have been taught over the years. So here we go!
- Change can be a good thing.
- Trust God even in the tiniest things.
- Forgiving others will actually help you in the end.
- Taking time to rest is so important.
- Make opinions based on scripture, not from things you hear.
- Organizing can really help you through your everyday life.
- Define your own idea of healthy and stick to it.
- Don’t let others influence you.
- Listen to what others have to say but make your own decisions in the end.
- Don’t be hard on yourself if you don’t read your Bible one day.
- Pray as often as you can.
- Take everything to the Lord first.
- If you mess up, ask God to forgive you and then forgive yourself.
- Don’t live in your past.
- Try to be a better version of you every day.
- Help others, but if they won’t listen, all you can do is pray.
- It’s okay to just stop and take time to empty your mind.
- It can be healthy to hold on to certain things.
- Discover your morals and goals and live by them.
- Your confidence only comes from the Lord.
- You are still growing and learning, so don’t be afraid to adjust anything in your life when the need comes.
I am so thankful to be blessed with twenty-one years of life. And I never want to stop learning and growing as the years go on.
Don’t be afraid to keep learning. And don’t be scared of getting older. It is a sign of wisdom and blessing. Job 12:12 tells us of this truth and I want to leave you with this verse: “Wisdom is with the aged, and understanding in length of days.“
In His amazing love,
Hannah Marie
