Hard times and difficult circumstances are a part of life. Every person will go through something that will test their faith.
These are the times when joy is hard to find. This is when praising God will seem useless.
But it isn’t. This is when you need to praise God and lift your voice to Heaven. You need to pray and sing praises to Him.
Even though things may be so extremely hard, God is still in control.
He is worthy of your praises in the good times and in the bad times. The Lord is still good to us in our difficult circumstances, and we need to praise Him for that.
Job is an amazing example of this in the Bible. He lost everything. His children, livestock, and home. Jobs’s wife and friends where against him and told him to curse God. But instead of doing as his wife and friends suggested, Job chose to praise God. He lifted up his voice to his Creator and praised God despite the hard circumstances he was going though.
We need to learn from Job. Although we may be going through hard times, we still need to praise God.
Here are some verses that speak on this topic:
Nehemiah 8:10: “Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.“
Exodus 15:2: “The Lord is my strength and my song; he has given me victory. This is my God and I will praise him—my father’s God, and I will exalt him!“
Psalm 32:7-8: “You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance.“
Psalm 145:18-19: “The Lord is near to all who call on him in truth. He fulfills the desires of those who fear him; he hears their cry and saves them.“
Psalm 112:1,7-8: “Praise the Lord! Happy are those who fear the Lord. They are not afraid of evil tidings; their hearts are firm, secure in the Lord. Their hearts are steady, they will not be afraid.“
Even in our troubles we need to raise a hallelujah to the Lord!
Call upon Him in your hard times. Pray to Him when difficulties arise. But don’t forget to praise Him thorough it all.
In His amazing love,
Hannah Marie
