Rahab was a prostitute and lived in a life of sin. But she chose to let go of her past and let God redeem her future.
She made amazing decisions because she had great faith.
Rahab is remembered for having great faith in God. And because of her amazing faith, she made great decisions that changed the outcome of her life.
Rahab chose to leave behind her life of prostitution. She decided to follow God and His ways. And she chose to live among His chosen people.
In the book of Hebrews there is a chapter about people who had lived with great faith. And Rahab is included in this chapter.
“By faith Rahab the prostitute did not perish with those who were disobedient, because she had given a friendly welcome to the spies” (Heb. 11:31).
And in the book of James, when faith and works are being compared, Rahab’s faith and good works are mentioned.
“And in the same way was not also Rahab the prostitute justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out by another way?” (James 2:25)
Rahab made great decisions because of her great faith in God.
We need to make great decisions too because of our faith. If we truly believe in an all-powerful God, then we should be able to make decisions with great faith.
Rahab knew what she believed in and nothing was going to change her mind about her decisions about the Lord. She could make great decisions with confidence because she had full faith in God.
If we don’t have great faith in God, how can we have confidence in the decisions we make?
Our faith in God is so important. And the decisions we make is a reflection of what we truly believe in. So if we believe in God, we should be able to make decisions with great faith because we know God’s truth, just like Rahab did.
In His amazing love,
Hannah Marie
